Sally Annett in Collaboration with Bletchley Park and Wrest Park. Supported by Arts Council England and Alchemy Solutions.
‘Systems of Philosophy – Wall (paper)s of the mind’ is a dual exhibition of prints, works on paper and site specific art pieces by Annett which will take place at Bletchley Park and Wrest Park in 2018. Annett has developed two parallel exhibitions of contemporary prints and site specific works, based on the heritage of paper, which will be shown as part of a series of events beginning in these venues during the early summer of 2018, continuing through until October 2018. These will conclude with a round table event as part of London Arts week. Annett will be delivering arts sessions and master classes at both Bletchley and Wrest Park working with regional groups and visitors.

The exhibitions explore the relationship between contemporary and heritage fine art spaces and functionalities, in this case specifically through the many and varied uses of paper. It addresses the long-term internationalism of English History and how informal, cultural boundaries and exchanges are created and curated in public, private space. It engages paper, print based surfaces and superficial architectures, remodeling them with a combination of traditional as well as 21st C and digital techniques and awareness.
